Cua Lo is situated on Vietnam’s north-central coast, in the Nghe An Province. Vinh City (the region’s capital) is only 14-kilometers away, as is Vinh International Airport. And while there are currently no direct flights to Vinh from the U.S.A., the airport does service flights from almost all airports in Vietnam. So, access is easy (Cua Lo Beach is a short cab ride from the airport).
There are also numerous bus services which run from all the major hubs to Vinh City, with some companies, like Van Minh, Phuc Loi and Hoang Long, running direct routes to Cua Lo.
You might also consider Vietnam’s efficient railway service. Trains arrive and depart from Vinh City to destinations throughout Vietnam. The rail system is clean, affordable and well maintained. In addition, the railroad takes you through the “heartland” of this wonderfully tropical country.
For the more intrepid traveler, renting a motorbike for a road-trip is a popular option. And while rental cars do exist, they are more the exception than the rule.
